Studio/K is a cinema, bar, restaurant in the East of Amsterdam. Organised, managed and programmed by students. It is a non profit organisation founded in 2007, initiated by Stichting Kriterion.
Back in the beginning days we created the identity and website of Studio /k. With the knowledge that our job would be taken over by the students running the organisation we designed a starter package of tools to work with and a strong logo. As the group of students that is running the organisation changes from time to time we created a visual concept in which that actual group of people took a central position. The idea was that every year a new group picture of the students running the organisation would be taken and used for the backside of the letterheads, business cards and other means of communication. A very personal and intimate approach. Direct in communication but simultaniously archiving all the people that have been working for the organisation.
At this moment Studio /k is still running but 14 years after our first designs a lot has disappeared.
